One can find a lot of weather services that help individuals and businesses involved in a wide range of outdoor pursuits and activities. They can put the current weather report for your area right on your desktop. However, most of them are very complicated to use. This review examines the performance of a simple Android app.
Weather Services from Weather Services Group offers live and detailed weather forecasts for thousands of locations around the world. After installing the app, users need to add their preferred locations to get details on temperature, humidity and other forecasts. It adds six attractive widgets to the device.
This also features three whether themes. Users can unlock ten more themes for free by downloading the prescribed apps. All these themes are customizable. Weather Services displays current temperature in status bar, while other details like wind direction and speed, highest/ lowest temperatures and “how it feels like” can be found in the notification area of the device. It also sends alerts during extreme weather conditions.
The free version offers weather forecast for the next few days, while the Pro version features charts for temperature, precipitation, humidity and cloudiness. A few Android devices come with default weather apps. If you are unsatisfied with their look and performance, this app might impress you.
Weather Services has a lot of options and users can customize it in a way they like. However, most of them are available only in the Pro version of the app. This is very much understandable as the free app doesn’t have any ads. I would like to see a “Help” section that could help users make the most of it.
Weather Services is compatible with Android 2.1 and up. For now, this app can’t be moved to SD card, but it won’t create an issue as it doesn’t need a lot of space. The free version is already very popular in Google Play and has crossed 100,000 downloads. The Pro version is available for USD 3.79.
