Game your Video, developed by Global Delight, is an iPhone utility that makes it ridiculously easy to add effects to video files. After launching it, users can select a video from the app’s library or the camera roll to start editing. At present, video effects are available under 12 flavors such as Chaplin, Haunted, Old Look and Comedy and they have background music too.
If the background music is added, it will remove the original audio. However, if a user wants to edit only the video, the background music can be avoided. Filters are labeled as Vintage, Nostalgia, Blockbuster, Noir, Cine etc. Game your Video also has several motion effects like slow, fast, lens, mirror, echo, zoom, shake and invert and they can be added while the video is running.
Other editing functionalities like cut, join and reverse are available in separate sections. Game your Video has YouTube and Facebook Integration to let users share their videos online. There is also an exclusive community called ‘I Did This” available for this app. I think, the interface makes this app a special one. It is pretty and makes things easier!
The Live section of the app helps in recording videos with the app. Though videos can be easily added from the camera roll for editing, some users might like to see the app do the recording part as well. It is quite handy, but after visiting the Live section, users have to close the app and relaunch it again to visit other areas. This area needs some work I think.
Game your Video is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G and requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app does to videos what Instagram does to images. It is on sale now (original price 1.99).
