No one likes to pay more than they have to for anything!
We all love a great deal, because the more you save, the more you have left over to spend on something else! Well, have you ever been shopping, found exactly the item you wanted, but wanted to be sure you were getting the best deal you could possible get?
Now you can. Prizap, by Avedna Krea, is an app that runs on your handy-dandy iOS device, and allows you to scan or search for products to see what major retailers have it priced at, so you know if you are getting a deal, or if you need to go elsewhere to save a few bucks.
Download the free app and see how. It offers the following major functionalities:
- See Hot Deals
- Find out what the Best Sellers are
- Search for what you are interested in
- Scan a barcode to see pricing from other retailers
Hot Deals lists latest deals offered by the big retailers like Walmart, Sears, Best Buy, ebay and Amazon. To see the list for each retailer, click on the retailer’s name that appears at the top of the Hot Deals screen. At first glance, it looks like you can swipe to move your choice of retailer, but after I realized that was not working, I simply tapped and found each list.
Best Sellers lists items that have frequent sales through Prizap. These may offer you some ideas on what’s hot, if you are looking for a gift that is trending, or want to get in a great deal. Search allows users to either view Popular searches, Recent searches you have made, or allows you type in just about anything you want to look for. The text box at the top of this screen allows you to customize your search.
Scan is one of the best features found. It allows you, in the moment, to see if you are getting the best deal possible on an item whose barcode you scan. This is what this app is all about. Under the More… option, you can customize the app to fit your specific shopping needs and share your discoveries.
What was most annoying about the app was inability to slide retailers across the screen to view deals they offered. The setup suggested as such, but would not work this way, which meant tapping was the way to go. The other problem here is that retailer names found to the left and right of what’s shown are both partially hidden, so you don’t even know what retailer you are selecting. I also look forward to seeing a wider variety of retailers.
For those who are careful with their money and want to make comparison shopping as painless as possible, downloading Prizap is a must! Not only can you do research ahead of time, you can talk yourself out of a ridiculously priced purchase by discovering that its cheaper elsewhere. Its a time and money-saver.
