Apple to Launch Mac OS X 10.7 Next Week

Get ready with your Mac for Lion

Apple is expected to launch Mac OS X 10.7 Lion next week, according to some reports.

Apple has been integrating Mac OS X in all the Macintosh computers since 2002. Its latest version Snow Leopard (v10.6) was released on August 2009. The next version is named as Lion (v10.7) and it was unveiled in the “Back to the Mac” event on October, 2010.

Now Apple is planning to release this new version on July 14 and has begun briefing its retail partners about the launch. It has advised that RAM upgradation to display models should be completed by July 10 to support the new Mac. This new version will have 250 exciting new features, which include multi-touch gestures, full-screen applications, and Mission Control, which will offer an overview of all of the open applications.

The developer preview of Lion was released on February, 2011.
