And the Smartphones Are Used For….

Checking and sending mails

A recent study by Google Insight says smartphone users obsessed with checking mails with their device.

Google tracks all the latest trends in the digital world through its service Google Insight. Its latest study says, apart from making and receiving calls and sending and receiving text messages, people use smartphones mostly for checking and sending mails. 82 percent of the smartphone users are using their device for this.

63 percent of the users use it look up the direction, while 63 percent use social networking websites in their mobile. 56 percent of the users read news articles from it and 45 percent listen to music and radio. In June 2011 comScore survey in theUK found 67% of smartphone users accessing email through their mobile device.

So, it seems like the users are still giving preference to “communicate” through their smartphones.
