HistoryTools is an iPhone app that tells all the important events that occurred on each day of the year. After launching HistoryTools, it shows the summary of that calendar day. For more details users need to scroll down and see the births, deaths and other important events. It also shows whether there are any specific holidays on that particular day.
Users can change the date by tapping on the ‘Choose Date’ button at the bottom and also add events by hitting the ‘Add Events’ button. However, I find ‘Choose a Date’ and ‘All Events Today’ again in the ‘Menu’ and I think that is not necessary. ‘Word Search’ and ‘Year Search’ in ‘Menu’ are handy options as they let users search the database by words and years.
While compiling a huge database to make an app of this kind, certainly there would be chances for errors. I think, if this app lets users to communicate with the developer to point out them, it would be really great. Do you know today (December 23) was the day when an earthquake in Nicaragua killed 12,000 people? If you like these kinds of interesting facts, HistoryTools could certainly impress you.
HistoryTools costs USD 0.99 and it is compatible with iPhones and iPads running iOS 3.1 or later.
