I think users need to be aware of the limitations of the text format. Even though, this app can display comments, all the content would be displayed as plain text. There will be no format and of course, you can’t extract images. Word-2-Text Converter uses tags structure to display headers, footers, endnotes, comments and footnotes.

Word-2-Text Converter is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 3.2 or later. This app is pretty slim (2.1 MB) and loads in no time. It supports English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Word-2-Text Converter was launched a week ago and this first version looks fine without bugs. It costs USD 1.99.
