Mix 2 Color – Draw and Color on iPad

Let your kids be creative!

People prefer iPads than any other tablets for its sleek design, choice of applications and longer battery life. With an iPad in hand, it would be easy to work, read, play, share, browse, watch movies and learn. Kids too like iPads just like everybody else. This review is about a kids app.

Mix 2 Color, an iPad app developed by Arsidian LLC, helps kids explore their creative side by letting them draw and color on this tablet. After launching this app, users could find two sections in the mainscreen – Draw a Picture and Color a Picture. Draw a Picture is the right area for the kids to start exploring the app.

This area has white space surrounded by a frame that has 3 different brushes, 10 stamps and 12 colors. The kids need to select a brush and a color with their fingers to start drawing in the white space. They can use stamps to add some effects to their drawings. There is also a sponge for correction.

Color a Picture section is loaded with 36 colorful images. Selecting an image would launch its outline. The colored image will also be there for reference. Five primary colors are available in the bottom frame and by mixing them 10 more colors can be obtained. If they are not sure about the right combination, they can avail help from the app. After the successful completing of coloring, this app would congratulate the kids with some pretty sounds.

Mix 2 Color has a tutorial video in YouTube, but the developers haven’t included any Help area inside the app. It would look even better, if it provides some guidance on improving the drawing skill of the kids, motivating them in the right way etc., And an update with even more pictures can make this app a great package for kids. Nevertheless, this app is quite useful even without these things.

Mix 2 Color is compatible with iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later. This app is for kids aged 2 to 6 years old. With it they can have fun on their iPads, while trying to let their creativity at work.
