Better Butterball Cooking at your Fingertips

If you are a fan of Butterball products, and I don’t just mean turkey on Thanksgiving Day, then you are in for a real treat. Butterball® offers a variety of products made from turkey that can help you bring turkey to the table every day; and to make things easier, they have a neat app to help you make delicious dishes your family will love.

For a limited time only, Butterball Cookbook Plus app is available for free. If you love turkey and you love Butterball, now is the time to download the app so you can get your hands on fun recipes you can try at home and share with friends. The app comes loaded with standard features and additional enhancements through in-app purchases. If you are looking for special meals for certain occasions or for gluten-free recipes, those are also available for purchase.

The app, with several integrated features makes cooking a breeze. Viewed from your iOS device, it features a stream of images for recipes to consider, along with options to search for Recipes, save favorites under My Recipe Box, design meals under Meal Builder, purchase items from the Store, and more.

Under Recipes, cooks can scroll through 250 recipes using Butterball as a base. Each is rated and shows level of difficulty – a plus for newbies. Tap on a recipe to get details. There is also a memo section for each recipe where you can add your notes, customizing recipes as you go. Save recipes you like by tapping on the Plus icon, and find it later in My Recipe Box. Each recipe also comes with video, conversions, substitutions and more, to help make it easier. There is also a timer so you don’t have to find one.

If you find a recipe you just have to share, you can network with friends and family from within the app, so they can enjoy the same exact recipe you successfully made – with notes and all. Make that recipe a favorite and the next time you are ready to make it, instantly add the necessary ingredients to your shopping list.

The best feature of each recipe is the Voice Command, which essentially gives you verbal instructions as you go. In this mode, instructions are easy to read and guide you step by step per your verbal command, so you don’t have to touch your device! I tried out a few recipes using turkey bacon, patties, and sausage, and each recipe was extremely easy to use. I found the Voice Command to have immeasurable value, because I could simple speak to the recipe and it automatically guided me along the process.

The only downside to the app would be the limit of 250 free recipes; yet, I am not sure if that really is a negative. It would take some time to get through all, and if you are creating enough to customize recipes already available, you can automatically increase the variety on your own.

As a free app, this is a good download, if you love cooking turkey. Many are making the switch to this healthier meat, substituting it for beef in many dishes. If you find you are struggling to make better use of turkey, download this app and discover something new.
