Poker Live Omaha & Texas – Online Poker Gaming Las Vegas Style

Can’t get together with your poker buddies? Don’t have any poker buddies? Ok, well, poker is not restricted to just the guys anymore, so for all of you who love a good game, you can now take the gaming table with you, wherever you go.

Gone are the days when you have to wait for your Wednesday night poker party to hang with other and play a good game of bluff. All you have to do is download the Poker Live app from Abzorba and you are on your way to a good time.

The app is free, and when downloaded you will see how true to life it is; well, as much as it can be on an electronic device.

The app opens up with a main screen that offers up the basic game of Texas Live Poker. There is also the option to play Omaha poker, as well. If you grow tired of playing Poker there are some laid back games you can play that don’t require as much involvement, if you will.

If you are looking to play a solid game of Poker with fellow players online, select the Texas Live Poker icon and the let the fun begin.

Once the game starts, you pick your spot on the table by purchasing into the game. There may be one or more players already sitting, or they may join after a bit. All chips earned and spent are virtual, so you are not gambling with real money. Hence, do not expect to win any real money. If you feel the need to purchase more chips to stay in the game, you have that option in the in-app store, found at the shopping cart at the top right corner of the screen.

The app also innovatively offers a Hand Strength Meter that visually display how good of a hand you have. This helps you make quick and decisive moves so that you can beat the table.

There is also the option to explore other playing tables to join in on by selecting Explore Tables. This is where you can go sit in on another game and experience another level of play.

At first I found myself running out of chips quite rapidly; but, constant play and practice got me to a point where I felt I knew better what to do and how to proceed. I felt like I had to buy chips fairly often just to stay in the game, but as I grew more confident, my game play brought me more success.

The app also gives you the ability to change your settings. So, if you really want to put yourself fully into the experience, you can turn on the sounds effects which fully immerse into the Vegas setting. Don your earbuds and you will remove yourself from the here and now and maximize the effect.

The only downside to this app is the overabundance of items on the main screen. I think moving some things around would have made it easier to see and select what you need to get to quickly.

For a free game it will keep you occupied for hours, because in one app, you get five different experiences.
