Capturing the moment and sharing it immediately is what so many apps are all about. Personally, I just don’t get the point of an app that lets you snap a shot, send it, and then have it disappear; but todays youth seems to think its the greatest things since sliced bread.
For those of us who like to snap photos, print them, and collect them all in an easy to touch and take in. I love taking photos from a trip and transforming them into a story that I can share will family and friends.
Photo Print is the app that will take you from digitized images to pictures you can hold and enjoy. In a nutshell, it is a printing app. But, once you start using it, you will be amazed at just how easy it is to use and how easy it makes it to move your photos directly from your Androidto the printer.
The download is free, no strings attached. The app has a direct link to over 8,500 Walgreens and Duane Reade stores, so prints go directly to a location you choose. The app has plans to add Target, Walmart, and CVS store locations, as well, to offer more variety, so pickup is quick.
To start, once you have downloaded the app, you can access your photos from it. You can drag and drop photos you want to print and even organize them into albums to make it easier to find them, or just print all if needed.
Once you have moved photos into Photo Print, you can make small edits to size and shape them. Once you are done sizing and shaping, you will be able to select the size and quantity of the print. For sizing, there are several preset sizes and the ability to customize based on what the store can support.
What was really neat was the feature allowing you to layout several photos on one sheet, almost like a collage.
Not sure why you would need more than one print, but maybe in the future, if the app allows for embellishments, you could create Christmas cards right on your Androidand print them, all at once. Talk about efficiency!
As mentioned, the only thing kind of missing from the app is the ability to add something to your photos, like filters or captions or borders. Being able to do that from within the app could expand its applicability to so many uses outside of just printing for a photo album.
I am still ok with what the app currently has to offer. I love that I can easily, without wires or copying, find photos from my Android, upload them to the app, and magically materialize them with a few taps and swipes. It can’t get any easier than that. Download Photo Print today you wont be sorry!
