QikClean – Quick and Easy Way to Get Laundry Done

No one likes to spend their weekends doing chores. We all have some we have to do, especially if you work all week, but it’s always nice to have a fewer chores so that you can set aside time to enjoy life. Laundry happens to be one of those things that just has to get done, but can be a nuisance, especially if you have to go to Laundromat to get it done. It’s time consuming, but it’s a necessity. Now, there’s a better way to get it done.

QikClean is an app that connects you to a service that takes care of your laundry, all from your front door. In four simple steps, you make your laundry request, get the laundry picked up, the laundry gets done, and finally, your laundry is delivered to you.

Sound too good to be true? Well, it’s not; and several Londoners are taking advantage of this time saving app.

The service is currently available in over 50 towns scattered around London. They not only do regular laundry, they provide dry cleaning services, as well. This is a big deal for those who have to sport suits all week, need them fresh for next week, and don’t have time to drop off and pick up during the week.

Once you download the free app, you will need to create an account with QikClean in order to use it. This requires an email address and will then prompt you for more details to enable delivery services. After entering all the necessary pieces of information, you are all set to use QikClean.

As mentioned, there are four steps to using QikClean:

1. Order – use the easy to read and screens to select the items you need laundered. Selections are made under categories, which include HouseHold Laundry, Laundry, Dry Cleaning, and Combination. When selecting a category you’ll see a list of items, and you can select how many of each piece. After making your selections, you will proceed to Your Cart where you can review the Pick-Up Address and Deliver Address (they can be different). You will also review or set the Collection and Delivery dates and times. It is so precise, I love it! The total price will then show at the bottom, and it’s here where you select PLACE ORDER.
2. Pick-Up – this is where QikClean step in and take over. They come to the Pick-Up address, collect your order, which you will provide to them in personalized bags, so there are no mix-ups.
3. Clean – QikClean experts launder or dry clean your items as you have requested, ironing and finishing them put as you have requested in your order.
4. Delivery – your items are delivered to the doorstep of the address you provide in the order.

I can’t say anything is amiss in this app, except that the service is only available in the London area. I want to know when it will be ready elsewhere so I can use it when I’m on vacation!

From my experience, the app is extremely easy to use and translates equally as well in the physical service of actually getting your laundry done. Why didn’t someone think of this before?
