Einee – Kids Can Now Talk to Einstein Using a Reimagined Education App

Do you have young kids (6-12) who drag their feet when it comes to learning, but jump at the chance to get on a device and play games? Whose kids don’t? Enticing children to learn has always been a challenge, but in today’s world, it has become increasingly creative and effective given the overabundance of learning apps available in the device marketplace to supplement a traditional school education.

Einee tries to go beyond the traditional educational app field by not just educating but also inspiring kids explains Ilya, the founder of the company. “Most learning apps are so heavily focused on education that kids are repulsed. Which is why Einee is a play-first app meant to be fun and goofy. Education comes second, so that kids will naturally want to spend time with the app, unintentionally learning in the process. Einee is useful for inspiring kids, but also it helps them with their school education curriculum.”

What Einee is a learning app that serves as an educational tool. It by no means substitutes for a school education, but it makes learning about some historical figures fun and entertaining for kids, which is the best way to teach – make it fun – and it’s why learning apps have become so popular. Yet, the team behind Einee sees this as their first step in the educational market, stating that there are many things they see can be improved in educating children and wishes to drastically help in the process; one day even reinventing schools in the process.

Einee allows kids to “chat” with big names like Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci and Cleopatra. The download is free and quick and it’s easy to use. Once you download, you’ll see the main menu. On it, you’ll find about five Chat Buddies. Marilyn Monroe and Donald Trump round out the full assortment.

To start, you get to chat with Einstein for free. You can chat with Cleopatra for free once you provide some feedback on the app. Access to Cleo will be made available 24 hours after submitting your feedback, provided the developers find your feedback worthy. The others require an in-app purchase – which is fair for learning apps that entertain and educate.

Let’s talk about what Einstein has to say. Click on Einee, as he is called in the app, and the app will take you to a screen that shows his face and offers a few preset chat messages. Your child can tap on one of those and Einee will respond. With every response, your choice of preset messages grows, backfilling the ones you already used.

Examples of questions you can ask Einee range from who he is, why does he look the way he does to what is E=mc2. Yes, your kids will actually gain some knowledge and inspiration from this app, simply by having a conversation with someone from the past who knows a great deal. How’s that for coming close to a school education?

What I would really like to see is the opportunity for kids to type in their own questions. That would really get some juices flowing and allow for a more robust experience. I understand that it would require significantly more AI engine support, but think of the possibilities.

Einee is simply a fantastic app to have if you have young kids, want to keep them busy with quality learning apps and want something that is safe. It’s a great way to engage kids outside of the standard school education into history by putting them face to face with someone who lived it and knows about it, and it’s fun, which is all you could ask for.
