Guidelines for a Successful App Launch

Three important things you should never forget

After sharing all those news about price drops, today let see me share something that could help developers. This is about marketing an app. There is no use of building a wonderful app, if you don’t know how to market it. If you are a developer looking to launch a new app, you should never miss these three things.

Have an attractive website: Your website can speak a lot about your app. Before launching your app, develop a website with at least few splash pages, that provide some basic details about the app’s functionality and some branding relevant to it. Don’t forget to include social media links and newsletter sign-up form.

Teaser Video: There is no need for you to be a professional ad film maker to create a decent teaser video for your app. It is better to be simple – showcase the key features of the app with some background music. You can also include this teaser video into your site.

Share it: Try to share the news about the launch of your app in as many websites as possible. Press release is a good idea and you should also share promocodes (or .apk file) with key contacts to get it publicized and get their feedback. It is better if you can make them to post their review on the same day the app becomes available. It would help it to gain attention.

There are three basic things a developer should never miss while launching an app. After launch, of course, do whatever it takes to reach the target users.
