Fruits&Fun – Match the Fruits and Earn Points

Android Market has started giving a tough time to the App Store. It has a huge number of high quality apps now. I find the games more impressive than the others. Let me introduce an interesting game for this holiday.

Fruits&Fun is a simple fruit-matching game and of course simple games are more addictive. After launching the app, Fruits&Fun loads the screen with small, cute fruits and players need to match them up in groups of three, either vertically or horizontally. After matching a group, those fruits would disappear and it could gain points to the players. Fruits&Fun has three modes – Classic, Speed and Zen. The gameplay is almost the same in all the three modes.

Fruits&Fun has few more twists to spice up things. If the player manages to match five or more fruits, he could get an exploding fruit. There are also giant fruits to force the players to move two rows or columns at the same time. As the play progresses, users could come across some interesting challenges like locked fruits. The column or row in which the locked fruit is present cannot be moved. Users can make it disappear only by matching the fruits close to it. When going gets tough, there is ‘Hint’ to help players. However, it is hidden inside the Menu making it hard to find.

Fruits&Fun smooth graphics and there are twists, but one would accept that concept is a bit old fashioned. Apart from Facebook and Twitter, Fruits&Fun has MySpace integration too. This is a free app and it requires Android 2.1 or more. You could try this app, if you have kids at home. They would certainly love the fruits and the concept of matching them.
