The Axe and Fate version 1.04 by Michail Philatov is a magnificent instance of high class gaming technology. This hallucinating 3D game is about an island known as Blade Island, close to an imaginary mainland called Ekzularis which is formed by a sudden disastrous crashing of a giant meteor.

With the completion of the lighthouse, the emperor of Ekzularis named Algara who sent one of his experienced warriors to have a supervision of the newly built lighthouse. After four normal years the warrior discovers that the island is now haunted by the spirits of some insane pirates who had encountered shipwrecks in the surrounding water. Ironically enough, this resulted in the deprival of light from Blade Island. But the emperor as you know can never take these unethical happenings into his consideration. He probably felt that it was an act of sabotage by the natives. An apprentice of a powerful magician is teleported to the island who ends up being untraceable afterwards. Thus, you need to look for the mysterious island now.

Now with the gradual discovery and development of navigation, a lighthouse is constructed on this island for the obvious purpose of guiding the sailors so that they do not dash-on offshore. This also enables the island to remain un-explored by the pirates and also by the local neighboring inhabitants. Meanwhile the lighthouse was being constructed, a strange abandoned place most probably from an unknown civilization was discovered which resembled a sanctuary deep under the very island! Inside it was a fragment of Blade which then was kept in the basement of the lighthouse. So now we know the secret of this island’s peculiar name.

The graphics of this game is interesting and it becomes better with the 3D effect. There are numerous levels of thrill, action and mystery loaded in here. There is a sorcerer and a cleric (the warrior) who acquire differentiated skills and qualities. The cleric acquires more skill- 11 to be precise, whereas the sorcerer has 9 skills. Sorcerer attacks his enemies with his magical powers. As per the name there is an interesting luck quotient for both.

Although Axe and Fate is a phenomenal game to play and is pretty much balanced but it is way too much violent for kids. The game is not as interesting as the story. You may get bored after a certain level. The size of the game is 271 MB and it costs $3.99 only.
