Prime Time Offers New Social Entertainment Experience

I am going to start off by saying that the app, the content and the features are most definitely going to be received very differently from one user to another. It is one of those apps that will serve a diverse purpose to every user. The app to me represents a combination of collective social media platforms where users can narrate their stories in images and photos and also view and rate other user’s stories and photos.

While some features are similar to existing apps, the developers have most definitely taken the subsequent steps to ensure they stand out and represent something new. I have no doubt that in no time and with a little more detail the app will rank up there with other social go-to apps. This app demonstrates immense potential but as it is now, I found it a little boring and predictable.

Once you upload a profile photo, you can then go ahead and rate other user’s photos. Rating the photos is easy and done on a scale from 1-10, a simple yet effective ranking. You can share your own photos or other with users but expect the content to be rated and shared. I do not think one can expect any level of privacy from a social app such as this.

What I did find a little disappointing was the lack of app info, descriptions and instructions or even what the core objective of the app is. I chose a number of interest categories but was not too certain what purpose they would serve, I am assuming this would have something to do with the additional search options. In addition, I encountered some difficulty navigating the app. While they have, straightforward setting icons, navigating these was not as simple as expected. There are no instructions or details on what purpose the setting serves.

There are a number of search options where you can filter your searches to keywords like photos that are trending or simply by a category. I was furthermore not clear on how to actually modify my profile or update my category tags.

While I completed the absolute minimum for my profile, I gained myself a follower, YAY ME!

You can like a photo and choose to follow the people posting them. You can also check out trending photos to find followers. The trending photos were diverse and most definitely will appear to a wide range of users. I like the idea of following someone’s story in images. I think the app has huge potential.

What would I like to see? The ordinary lives of people across the globe in images. A morning coffee, the hustle and bustle of public transport at a location across the globe. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I am just not 100% sure what Prime Time Social Media app is trying to say.
