Greenopolis, a subsidiary of Waste Management, has announced the launch of its new app RecyclePix. This app tries “to drive positive change through “Social Recycling” that makes living sustainably a fun, engaging and rewarding experience.”
RecyclePix motivates users to snap and share pictures of themselves or their friends recycling wherever they are. They can use these images to earn Greenopolis Rewards Points which can then be exchanged for rewards such as discounts at Domino’s Pizza and exclusive deals with Marriott Hotels. Users can also gain additional points for voting on favorite RecyclePix photos.
This app will get launched for iOS and Android on August 4th.
