AffirME – A Motivational App for iPhones

Get some inspirational quotes daily! 

I reviewed AffirME during its trial period. The main purpose of this app is to provide the user with motivational quotes throughout the day. During my use of this application, I received some really awe-inspiring quotes from different authors, writers, and historical figures. One thing that stands out, although it is minor, is the icon. I know this may be minor point but it’s the first thing you see when you download the app and it’s very inviting.

The layout and design of AffirME is very simple. When you first open this app, you will notice the bottom menu bar. This menu bar includes an option for Today; which is today’s quote, from this screen you are able to share the daily affirmation through Email, Twitter, and Facebook. Recent, provides a list of recent quotes. Favorites; a list of your tagged favorites quotes. Finally, the settings option, the settings option allows you to set a time of day to receive your affirmation, both a start and end time are listed, so you can choose a duration. The settings option is also the area you must go to if you decide to continue using AffirME after the 21 day trial period.

The performance of this application was very stable, I did not witness any slowdowns, bug or glitches. Please note that AffirME is not optimized for the larger screen of the iPhone 5. This is the only complaint as most apps today are utilizing the full screen of the iPhone 5. This does not make AffirME unusable. I also did not have a chance to review this application on an iPad or iPad mini, so I can make no comment how this application performs on those devices.

Also of note, AffirME has an option for an in-app purchase, so after the 21 day trial period you will have to pay $1.99 to continue to use this app. The three week time should be more than enough for the user to decide whether they want to continue on using the application for the one-time fee of $1.99 or if they want to discontinue.

Overall AffirME is a nice, simple application that does what it is intended to do, which is to provide the user with some inspirational quotes throughout the day. With its non-complicated navigation menu, this app is really easy-to-use.  So if you’re in the market for an application that can provide you an inspirational quote, try out AffirME.
