Well look no further cause today I would be reviewing an application on my blog that was created by Yama Apps which has about 10,000 downloads, that can help you listen to live police radio scanners for real time police action as it unfolds. The app is known as the Police Scanner Radio – Hot Pursuit Police Scanner and it is available on the google play store for free. That is really nice considering all the cool features of the app.

First of I am very strict when it comes to reviewing applications like this because I feel the results are not usually accurate or the live recordings have already been programmed. Well I have used this application now for more than a day and I must say I am very impressed with the results. Although, it has some negative sides that doesn’t make the app a hundred percent. So sit back and enjoy while I take you through this cool app.

Opening the app, you are faced with the app logo which I feel look like a car racing game “Need for Speed” if you are familiar with the game which makes it really cool. On the app you can listen to over 10,000 police, fire, EMS, Rescue and Amateur Radio Scanners near you and from around the world which is awesome. The app as a feature whereby you can chat with other users listening to the same feed which is a very unique feature of the app. You can also add your favourite scanners to your favourites list for quick access. On the app you get to know the local news that doesn’t get reported to the general public, you can get the recent and up to date news with all its juicy details. The app is an everyday application because it can help you avoid traffic and not be stuck because you get to know where the action is on a GPS map.

 The other side of this application is that it comes with a lot of ads in it which does not allow you to enjoy the whole experience, one minute you are feeling like a cop another minute you are stuck in the middle of an ad that is not necessary which makes using the app really frustrating. Also, there are a few countries to choose from which is not enough so if you are from Brazil and you want to listen to the radio from your local police it is not possible because the country is not included. So, I feel more countries should be added for a better experience. There is also no share option so you don’t get to share what you are listening to with your friends which I feel limits the whole experience.

Police scanner radio is a great android application; I had a lot of fun on the app, it is very easy to use, it offers you real time experience and it is free on the google play store so go and download it and feel like a cop.
