Baseball Kings – Fun in Your Pocket

Fill those dull moments with some game play!

If you are looking for a fun and simple baseball game to play, look no further than Appnori’s Baseball Kings. This app brings the excitement of fast and curved pitching to your device in a fun and well-laid out way that allows users to test out the waters a bit before diving in.

The neat thing about Baseball Kings is how well it mimics a game. It keeps stats, scores, and other trivia that baseball lovers like. If you don’t need those details, you can opt to ignore and just enjoy the game. Easy to download, it offers players a chance to practice before engaging in actual game play. This is one ofthe game’s strengths, as it explains with clearly defined images exactly what the player needs to do play the game.

In a nutshell, Baseball Kings is a pitching game that keeps track of how well you pitch against the team of your choice. Your team is the Kings. You get to choose who you want to pit your talents against. When you first start, you begin at the Rookie level and climb your way to the top as you perfect your pitches. Levels of game play include:

  • Rookie
  • Single A
  • Double A
  • Triple A
  • Major League: Regular Season, Division, Championship Series, World Series

You also have the choice to practice a few pitches using the Training option, or you can jump in and start game play. The game play option offers a very nice tutorial which is slightly better than the practice exercise. I would highly recommend the tutorial, then a few practice sessions, and then go on to game play.

Before each pitch, whether during a game, tutorial or training, you may sometimes see an arrow with red marks. This arrow says that the ball will move on a curve, so be sure to send it at an angle. The amount of red bars also indicates how strong the curve is, which will affect your angle. Using the tutorial makes things clear.

Get really good and then you can post your stats to Facebook. Information you might want to share includes:

  • ERA
  • Individual Play stats
  • K/9 and CYP points

Once you complete the tutorials and all of the practices you wish to perform, you can start playing. You’ll start by being pitcher and your goal will obviously be to strike out as many players as possible. You can even send out a Fire ball when you wish, which could help or harm you, depending on who is on the other side of the plate. In general, it was initially difficult understanding what was meant by the arrow and fully grasping the degree on angle needed to correct the curve. But, once you play it for a while, you will easily see how to play.

  • Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  • I’m really loving the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into
any internet browser compatibility problems? A handful of my blog audience
have complained about my website not operating
correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari.
Do you have any advice to help fix this issue?
