Luxigram – Share Luxurious Experiences and Challenge Others to Outdo Them

We all like the finer things in life, and they can be things that cost a lot or cost nothing at all. Luxurious experiences can be range from a 14-day cruise on the Mediterranean to a camping trip in the Ozarks. Whatever it is that you find to be a treasured moment, you can share it with others, and you can even challenge them to see if they can outdo your experience.

This all happens on the app called Luxigram. I assume it’s take on Instagram, but dedicates itself to moments that people find precious to them. The app is free to download and did not seem to disrupt users with ads, which was nice. To join, you can provide either an email address or a Facebook profile, but you also need an invite code. Current users of Luxigram can invite you or you can request the app the app to send you an invite code by submitting your name and email address.

Once you are in the app, you will want to head over to the Profile area. This is where you can enter information about yourself and you can invite your friends to join. This app is fun to use, but it’s more fun when you’ve got friends in on the action.

After setting up your profile, you can then browse the posts already out there by tapping on the globe icon. If you are ready to post, tap on the icon that looks like a flame, shoot your video, input some basic information about that moment and you are set! You can even turn on the Challenge option to see if other users want to try and post something better than your post.

When you are viewing other posts, you can give them a double high-five (or maybe it’s clapping) or you can give them a thumbs down. If you want to submit a challenge, tap on the flame icon that’s located as part of their post (not the one that’s at the top of the app screen).

You will find that over time you will start to see posts that inspire you to want to go and explore more. The neat thing about this app is that when it says luxurious, it doesn’t necessarily have to be monetarily luxurious, although the title seems to indicate thus. It can be a scene that just cannot be described in words, or a moment that you will never get again. It’s really up to you what you decide is a luxurious experience. I found myself making a list of things I wanted to experience and see once I saw what others were posting.

If you invite enough friends to post, you can turn the app into a game, and make it so that you have weekly challenges to see who has the best post that week.

What’s missing from the app is the ability to search for posts. Each post allows for tags, so you should be able to search and look for posts related to a particular topic.

If you are looking to experience something different when it comes to posting unique and luxurious experiences, look into Luxigram. It’s an experience like no other.
